Testing Requirements

Wyoming Machinery Company is a drug and alcohol free employer. All employees are subject to pre-employment, post-accident, and random drug and alcohol testing.  In addition, some positions may require physical ability testing.


Shuttle Truck Driver

Department: Parts/Warehouse/Inventory
Location: Gillette, WY

GENERAL PURPOSE 

Driving and Customer Aatisfaction.

  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES 

Loading, driving and making deliveries. Must be familiar with D.O.T. requirements, loading and unloading equipment such as Auto Cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. Must be able to load, boom, and secure freight for effective load balance. Must be familiar with customer policies and requirements.

 

OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES 

Various warehouse related duties as assigned.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY 

Must meet all D.O.T. requirements as listed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Must possess a Class A CDL with combination double/triple trailer endorsement. Must be able to read, write and understand English.

 

EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING 

Minimum - High School Graduate or equivalent.

 

EXPERIENCE 

Should have warehouse experience and be able to operate a forklift, and various trucks, tractors and trailers.

 

MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED 

Forklift, overhead hoist, computer terminals (mainframe and PC), calculator, microfiche viewer, telephone, copy machine, precision measuring tools, hose building equipment, shuttle truck, trailers, chains, straps and boomers.

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES 

1. Must stand, sit or drive for 4-15 hours.

2. Use hands driving, for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.

3. 50lb. weight lifting restriction.

4. Use feet frequently in driving and repetitive movement.

5. Frequently bend, squat, lift and carry freight, shipping materials and equipment to secure cargo.

6. Ability to climb up and down trucks, trailers, docks and large freight items.

7. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather and surface conditions.
